Questions From Your Followers

What questions do you ask before you start following someone? How do you make sure they are the ones you want to lead you? Today I want to go over what some of those questions are. These are 4 questions you should be able to answer for all of your followers and having these questions answered could make the difference in how effectively you lead.

4 Questions

1. Can I trust them?

One of the first questions they will ask themselves is, can they count on you? They need to be able to believe that you are who you say you are and that your actions line up with that. When someone chooses you and your business they are counting on you to follow through as their leader.

2. Do they care about my interests?

If someone is going to follow you, they need to know that you care about their interests and what their goals are. You need to take time to get to know the person and figure out what their goals are. How are you supposed to help them if you don’t fully understand what they are coming to you for and what they are expecting you to help them with?

There is one thing I will always ask to help me truly get to know my client and which will show them I have their best interest in mind. I will ask them to picture themselves three years from now, they are ecstatic with their growth and where they are. Now ask them what made them feel that way? You need to remember that you can’t help someone get somewhere if you don’t know where they want to go.

3. Do I want to go where this person wants to take me?

It can be easy to only look at the destination but when someone is choosing if they want to follow you they need to know that they want to go with you on that journey to get to the destination. Something that will really help people figure out if they want to follow you, is how clear you paint the picture for them. You want things to be so clear that they will know when they are on the right path if they choose to follow you.

You are trying to fix a problem and you need to be able to show them that they want to follow you to the solution.

4. Are they truly capable of taking me to my goals?

People will want to know what you’ve gone through, they will want to know what they can relate to you and that you actually know what you are doing. You need to show them that you have had your failures and that you were able to fix them and get to a place that they are looking to reach themselves.

People want someone who is going to understand them. They won’t choose to follow someone who isn’t willing to show them what their journey looked like.

Working Together

Even if you answer all these questions perfectly for your followers, if they depend on you, you will be working as a team. The more you are able to show people what you are able to do for them, the more they will trust you and know you have their best interest in mind.

How do you show your followers that you are the best leader for them?
